Copernicus/Welcome To Cork - Hoodie (Polish)

Nicolaus Copernicus was a Polish astronomer who formulated a model of the universe that placed the Sun rather than the Earth at the center of the universe. As Cork is the centre of the universe we commissioned a piece of street art by artist Garreth Joyce to acknowledge his great discovery and as a way of letting all our Polish friends know that they are welcome to the People's Republic. 

You can see the art on a traffic box at South Mall, Cork at the junction of Pembroke Street. 

The text in Polish says "Welcome to Cork, centre of the universe".
